Weekend...

Friday we grabbed Zaxby's and went over to Lori and Stephen's for Asten to help them put a tent up for Lily's birthday. Grady enjoyed getting to play with Lily. While we were there Amy found out that her papaw had passed away. She was so close to her papaw and knows that he is in such a better place now.

Saturday we went to Cracker Barrel and Grady ate a whole pancake! He loved it! He also really likes bacon. Afterwards, we went up to the shop to sit with Bryan for a little while. I had a massage at 12:00, from Asten on our anniversary. He is so sweet. Saturday night we went over and had dinner with Nan and John. Then stopped by Susan and James' for a little while.

On Sunday, we had to take Grady to the doctor because he began running a fever AGAIN. His ear infection had not gone away...so that was the reason for the fever. I met Brittney and we went to Sam's to get food for the funeral home. After visiting Amy and her family, we came home and worked all afternoon on the pool. It is FINALLY clear!

Grady is much better today. No fever. Running around and playing like crazy. We've got to go to Amy's at 1:30 to watch her nephews while the family attends the funeral.

This seems to be the BEST summer yet! Grady is at such a fun age and it is so nice to be lazy all day just watching him play. I could get used to this! :) I know I'll be ready for work come August.

Have a wonderful week!

Summer...

I'm sorry it has been so long since my last post. Summer is finally here! Grady and I have had a wonderful and relaxing week.

Yesterday was Asten and I's 3rd anniversary. We went to the Bald Headed Bistro in Cleveland. If you have never been, you must try it. It is absolutely unbelievable and I am trying to think of the next occasion that we can celebrate there! I had the filet and strawberry shortcake! Both were amazing!

Grady was playing this afternoon and started messing my with school books. So I took them away and told him no-no. He threw a fit and ended up hitting his little mouth on the hardwood floor. Immediately it was gushing blood and scared me to death. After going to the doctor, we learned that he tore the piece that attaches the lip to the upper gums. It will heal and stitches aren't required for that area. :( He played all evening and seems just fine.

School started back this past Monday. These two classes will be done the end of July. This WILL be my last summer of taking any classes...I think. :)

Water to Woods is doing good...keep spreading the word!

Take care and I will post pictures of Grady soon. He is starting to walk and as soon as he masters it, I want to have a professional take some of us!

7 Days of School left...

That's right! Only 7 more days of school! I am so excited for summer to be here so that I can spend lazy days with Grady.

Water to Woods has been open for 4 days now. We had a great first weekend...now bring on the buisness. :)

Grady is still not walking. So close though. He is putting EVERYTHING in his mouth though. From shoes, to paper, to anything he can find. It is so gross and we are trying to teach him but he is so interested in how it tastes. :)

He has a pack-n-play at the store. He doesn't realize though that he can take a nap in it just as good as he can at home. Oh well...he'll get it.

I finished parent/teacher conferences today! Glad those are out of my way.

I finished my two classes!!! I thought this term would NEVER end. 6 more classes and I will graduate in December!!!

Hope you all have a great rest of the week!

Water to Woods...

Asten's Grand Opening will be this Saturday beginning at 7:00. We will be there ALL day. Please come by anytime Saturday. We will have hot dogs and drinks. He is really excited about this and is ready to get the word out there. If you know of anyone who would be interested, please foward his store's name to them.

I am at home with Grady today. He has another infection. Possibly pneumonia again. We started an antibiotic this morning, so I pray it will be gone in a couple of days.

Tomorrow is field day at work, so Asten will be staying home with Grady.

Hope everyone has a good week. See you all on Saturday!!!

It's May...

For those of you who don't know...Asten is opening up a Hunting/Fishing store in Ringgold with his friend, Bryan. He is busy, busy running around for that. I will let you all know when it opens!

Spin Class again this morning! I made it an hour! Yahoo! Getting easier.

19 days of school left! Ready for summer so I can be with Grady and have lazy days!

Grady cut his 12th tooth. Aww...he is getting so big. Still not walking. He is standing alone though.

I will graduate in December of this year instead of next March. (Katie Sullivan, Ed.S)
So exciting!!!

Boot camp ends this week...but Peak Fitness will be my new workout zone!

I will get some pictures up soon of Grady. We are just always running...never stay still long enough!

Have a good week!

Spring Break...

This week has been so nice! We didn't go anywhere for Spring break and it was actually very relaxing. Grady is definitely out of his normal routine and is sleeping until 10:00. That has been really nice since I have been staying up until midnight or later. Here is a recap...

Monday: Relaxing Day...went and visited baby Brayden at the hospital.

Tuesday: We went to the Lookouts game with our friends, Lisa and Rodney and their two boys.

Wednesday: Grady and I took off to Kennesaw to meet Josh and went to Atlanta.
We ended up at Northpointe mall in Alpharetta which was so nice.
I got my new Iphone! (It's even better than my old one)

Thursday: Lazy Day.
Went to Boot Camp.
Had a girls night out with girls from my boot camp.

Friday: Met Amy for lunch.
Went with Brittney to pick out her doors for their new house.
Helped get all of Amy and Lee's closet moved.

Saturday: Had a realtor show our house for the first time!
Went with Josh and Laurie to buy him a dining room suite.
Helped move Amy and Lee

Today will be a relaxing day with Grady and Asten. I do have to submit an assignment by midnight tonight, though. :(

Grady is really trying to walk...as I type he is "free standing" with nothing around him. Still hasn't taken those first steps.

Back to our regular routine beginning tomorrow. I have CRCT Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday...so it will be a stressful week.

Snow in April...

I can't remember the last time it snowed in April. My kids were so excited to see it snowing this morning. We walked out into it for a few minutes to settle their nerves. :) I need to take Grady to the mall to see the Easter Bunny before he is gone. I think we will go tomorrow (no boot camp).

Easter is this Sunday. We are really excited because I think Grady will love the eggs...even just to play with them and his basket. We are going over to Asten's grandmother's house at 2:00 on Sunday for lunch and then to our friends Lisa and Rodney's for dinner and an egg hunt.

School is so much right now...I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to drop out. However, I don't have it any where in me to be a "quitter". It's just not who I am. So I will endure the next 6 weeks of this. Hopefully I will have two new professors this summer who actually realize we have a life outside of grad school. :) I will stop venting!

Grady cut his 10th tooth. It is his top right molar. It seems so weird to see the molars in there. But with the food he is eating, he definitely needs some chompers.

Asten's truck broke down on the freeway this morning and he had to have it towed. Pray that it isn't anything serious. He's not due for a new car yet! :)

Have a great week!

Happy Birthday to me...

Today was my birthday and I had a wonderful day.
I went to work and to my surprise some of my students' parents came last night and decorated my classroom. So sweet! :)

Asten sent me the most beautiful arrangement of spring flowers from him and Grady.

Then, my class threw a party for me at 1:00 with the help of their parents!

We went to dinner at Provinos and I had way to many calories, but it was yummy.
Another great birthday!

Thanks to everyone for making it so special!
