Christmas is over...

Only 1 day till Christmas, and Grady recieved a red piece of farm equipment!

On Christmas Eve, we always go to Grady's great-grandparents on Asten's side. He is the only great-grandchild and they too love to spoil him!

This is a farm/tractor set they got for him! Leaving cookies and milk for Santa before bed!
Us Christmas morning...5 am. Grady needs milk and a little more shut eye!
Has he been this good? Of course he has! A lot of those are for him from his uncle Josh and his Nani. New four-wheelers...please notice the drawing of Grady in the background.
That was Asten's present from me!
We got to Asten's parents house at 7:00 am. As soon as we walked in the door, Grady spotted this Sesame Street bag under the tree and knew it must be for him. So he opened it!
Grady's great-grandparents came over to Nana and Papaw's too for breakfast and to watch Grady open up his gifts!
So excited about Mickey Mouse on the box!

Nana and Papaw got him the ELMO restaurant. He LOVES it!

11:00 am brunch at our house with mom and siblings.
We went to Cleveland at 4:00 Christmas evening to celebrate with Laurie's side of the family. No pics :(
My brothers, and sister-in-law with us at my dad's the day after Christmas!
What a wonderful 2nd Christmas we celebrated with Grady!
We will be celebrating New Years Eve at our good friends, Bryan and Brittney's house!

Merry Christmas...

We had a wonderfully exhausting Christmas day today! We woke up at 5:00 and our special time with Grady as he opened all his gifts from Santa. Then, we headed to Asten's parents and exchanged with them. Afterwards, we came back home to meet my side of the family. We ate brunch, opened more presents, and then took a nap. We traveled to Cleveland this evening to celebrate with Laurie's side of the family. We are pooped! I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas! (pictures coming soon)

Christmas Countdown...

On the fourth day until Christmas, Grady received an elmo goes to the zoo flip book.
On the third day until Christmas, Grady received a toy giraffe.
On the second day until Christmas, Grady received a red tractor carrying hay bells.

I couldn't resist posting this. After Grady's bath last night...he had to make a quick stop by the tree and I had to take a picture! :)

Two of my good friends from work came over Monday night for a wrapping party! Here we are in the middle of a huge mess! But the remainder of the presents got wrapped and we had fun!!!

Only one more day until Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

Happy Birthday...

HAPPY 21 months, GRADY!

What are you up to these days?

You weigh 33 pounds

You wear a size 2 in most clothes

You wear a size 8 shoe

You love pickles.

You love to turn on the Christmas tree.

You have really started liking horses.

You can sing your ABC's...although not all the way through, yet.

You sing Barney's I Love You song.
ELMO continues to be your favorite!
You can say I uggh you (I love you) and it melts our hearts!

You have started waking up in the middle of the night and crying out because you know we will come get you and bring you to bed with us. (bad habit, I know)

In three short months, you will turn 2!
It's still hard to believe our little baby isn't so little anymore.
We love you so much, monkey!

12 Days of Christmas...

Sorry it's been so long. But, I had to wrap up all the loose ends in order to graduate with my Ed.S. I am happy to say...I AM DONE!!! So thankful that I can truly enjoy these holidays and not have any worries about completing shool work to submit.

We started a new tradition yesterday with Grady. To celebrate the 12 days of Christmas, we will be surprising Grady with a small unwrapped gift under the tree each morning. He goes in, pushes the "on" button and looks for his present.

On the twelth day of Christmas, Grady received an Elmo dump truck!
`

On the eleventh day of Christmas, Grady received a plastic alligator!

Right when he gets up, we go in so he can turn the tree on and see what he'll find.
He got a little too excited tonight. We caught him trying to open up his wrapped ELMO live! I would have been so upset had he seen it.

We had broccoli casserole for dinner tonight. It sounded so good, but I felt like I couldn't just make a casserole and eat it as the main course. Is this ok to do? We all enjoyed it anyway!

3 1/2 days until Christmas break! So excited to spend time with my little monkey for 17 days. Josh is also coming in for a while...so we are looking foward to having him here. Grady loves his uncle "Osh!"

We got a wonderful surprise snow a week and a half ago. Grady loved looking at it, but not so much playing in it. I have been making ornaments to give as gifts this year. Here are a few I made a couple weeks ago.
