Josie Four Months...

You turned four months old yesterday. I took your monthly pictures yesterday but my laptop was at work, so I wasn't able to download them until today.

What are you up to these days?

You weigh close to 15 pounds. (We go Friday for your check up)

You are wearing a size 2 diaper.

You are in all 6 month clothing now.

You smile and laugh at us alot!

You rolled over from your back to your tummy for the first time today!

You are drooling alot! But no teeth yet.

You LOVE your brother especially when he makes you laugh!

You are sitting up good in your Bumbo seat.

You are beginning to arch your back in your bouncy seat so we will have to get rid of it!

You will sit in your swing and watch everyone, but you still don't enjoy swinging in it.

You love to go outside and look around.

You like to blow bubbles with your mouth.

You are really starting to "talk" to us and your toys.

You still sleep in your bassinet beside mommy.

You nurse every 3 hours during the day.

You wake up at least once in the night for a "snack".

Your hair is longer on the sides than the back.

You love to "stand up" when we hold you on our lap.

You will start rice cereal after we go to your four month check up.

You take a good nap every day from 1:00-3:00.

You MUST have your paci in to fall asleep.

You go to bed between 9:00-10:00 pm and are up for the day at 9:00 am.

You are such a little angel!!!

You start BIG school next Monday because mommy has to go back to work. I have so enjoyed spending the last four months with you at home. You are such a little blessing for our family. You are always so content and happy unless you're hungry or tired. I never thought I would have enough love to give someone after Grady, but you have absolutely stolen my heart! I love you to the moon and back, Josie Claire.

Josie Three Months...

Our sweet girl turns 3 months old today!

She continues to be the sweetest little girl! We are so blessed!

What have you been up to, Josie Claire?

You weigh 14.9 pounds

You're still wearing size 1 diapers.

You're wearing 3 month and 3-6 month clothes.

You still eat every 3 hours during the day.

You sleep from 10:30-4:30 each night (...in your bassinet! Yay!)

You like to "blow bubbles" with your mouth.

You smile ALOT but it's really hard to capture on camera.

You still like to play in your bouncy seat. You talk to the little moving animals!

You don't care too much for your swing.

Your hair can sometimes be WILD!

You LOVE your Nuk Paci...and must have it in order to fall asleep.

You really like to watch Grady play.

You make the sweetest faces!

You are getting big in your glider!

Happy Father's Day...

Happy Father's Day to my dad and father in law.

You two are amazing men and we are so blessed to have you as our dads.

Happy Father's Day to my wonderful husband.

He is the most incredible daddy to our two babies and I am so proud to be his wife!

Josie Two Months...

Our sweet girl is two months old today!!! Where does time go?

It seems like we just came home from the hospital yesterday!

What are you up to these days, Josie Claire?

You weigh 13 lbs. 2 oz.

You nurse every 3 hours.

You eat 3.5-4 ounces in a bottle when mommy is away.

You are still wearing size 1 diapers.

You have outgrown 0-3 month and wear 3 or 3-6 month clothing.

You smile all the time now (but it's hard to capture on camera!)

You have started "talking" and coo and laugh just a little.

You are holding your head up really well.

You still love to be held.

You still love to sleep in between mommy and daddy!

You go to bed around 11:00 pm and sleep until 3:00 am when you get hungry.

You then go back to sleep until around 7:00.

You like your swing and bouncy seat a little more (but not as much as being held! ha!)

You're doing better riding in the car.

We went on your first long car trip last weekend to Gatlinburg.

Grady calls you "Jose, Jose" and says "Can I kiss Jose, Jose?"

You love your paci (Nuk).

You love to watch fans and look at light fixtures.

We LOVE you so much Josie Claire! You have brought so much girly sweetness to our house! Can't wait to see what this next month holds...but please do us a favor and SLOW Down!!!

Catching up...

We went for Josie's one month check up on May 6th. She was really five weeks old at this appointment. She weighed 11 lb. 11 oz. and was 23 1/4" long. Both of these are in the 100th percentile! Her head measured in the 75th percentile. She's our BIG girl!!!

She is smiling all the time now, too!

Last Sunday was Mother's Day. We went to breakfast with Asten's mom and grandmother and then went and visited with my Laurie. I left my camera at home and didn't get any pictures except this one below.

We cooked lasagna here at my house and had my mom and sister-in-law over.

My grandparents came over on Tuesday afternoon to bring some gifts for Josie and Grady that my great-aunt sent.

On Thursday my aunt and cousin brought my grandmother over. She will be 90 in August and hadn't met Josie yet. This is our 4 generation picture.

I never blogged about this, but on April 27th a devestating tornado came through our town destroying everything in its path. We are just now beginning to adjust to the way things look around here. Although Grady still gets confused when he see's McDonalds. The other day he said, "I'm sad because a tomato broke chicken donalds apart!" :(

On Saturday, we went to the grocery store and came home to the most beautiful rainbow that looked like it was right over the main part of Ringgold where the tornado swept through. You could see both ends and it was a nice reminder that God is great all the time! This picture does not do it justice, but I wanted to capture it on camera.

Josie Claire One Month...

It's hard to believe our little princess is one month old! She has been such a little blessing for our family. She is just growing sooo fast...slow down Baby Girl!!!

You eat every 3 hours during the day and every 4 hours at night.

You are wearing 0-3 month clothing. (some of it is getting tight!)

You wear size 1 diapers.

You don't like to sleep in your bassinet. :)

You LOVE to be held!

You haven't smiled at us yet...but we think you're close!

You LOVE taking a bath and especially getting your hair washed. You arch your back to try and get more water on your head!

You don't really like to ride in the car unless you're really tired. We go and pick up Grady from school each afternoon and you usually fuss there or back just wanting to get out!

Grady ADORES you and wants to kiss on you any chance he gets!

You like your bouncy seat and swing...but not for long periods. Mommy uses the bouncy seat so she can take a shower and watch you at the same time. We go this Friday for your one month check up and I will have your stats then. Thank you for being such an angel! We are so thankful that you are such a happy baby.
